Safe, pain-free ear wax removal by NHS-trained specialists. Every appointment includes a full ear health check, and your clinician chooses the best removal method for your ears on the day.
Your clinician examines your ears first, then recommends the safest, most effective method for you.
Your visit takes around 10–15 minutes. After a short health questionnaire, your clinician examines both ears with an otoscope, explains what they can see, and recommends a removal method.
Treatment is carried out there and then. Afterwards your ears are re-checked, you see the before-and-after on video otoscopy, and you leave with tailored aftercare advice.
If you can, apply olive oil or softening drops for 2–3 days before your visit — it makes removal quicker and more comfortable. Not essential though: still come in, especially for same-day appointments.
Please avoid cotton buds and ear candles. They push wax deeper and can damage the ear canal or eardrum.
Blocked or muffled hearing, earache, tinnitus (ringing), itchiness, dizziness and a feeling of fullness are the most common signs of excess ear wax. Hearing aid users often notice whistling or reduced performance.
If symptoms appear suddenly or come with pain and discharge, mention it when you book — we’ll check for infection during your examination.
